Pastor Jass began his ministry at the age of 40. He spent his first six years as the senior pastor of Ramsey Baptist Church of Montrose, SD. He and his wife Nancy, along with two of their four children, Shalee and Rick, arrived in Mosinee the summer of 1982 where he became the senior pastor of a church called Good News.
At that time. the church family was around 50 people and they were meeting in the band room of the high school. He served Good News for 24 ½ years. During this time the church family was privileged to build a church home and add two additions before Pastor Jass retired when he turned 70.
He was always involved in ministry beyond Good News, and in 2006 Dr. Perry, Converge– Great Lakes, asked him if he would be open to serve the Central Area Churches as an Area Minister. He served in this capacity for the past 7 years, being a pastor to the pastors and coming along side their leaders and churches to help in time of need. When he was offered a new position due to changes in the structure of the district, he felt led to continue serving the churches as a missionary. He is in the process of raising the support necessary to fund his ministry to the fifteen churches in the central area, one of them being Good News.
Pastor and Nancy are thankful that they are able to serve the Lord as long as health allows. They have made Mosinee their home and praise the Lord for the eternal friends He has given them.
